We host it, watch it, and fix it
The websites that quietly die are the ones nobody is responsible for. A care plan means there is always somebody whose job it is when something goes wrong.
We host on infrastructure we manage, monitor uptime continuously, take backups you can actually restore from, and apply security updates as they land. If the site goes down at 2am, the alert comes to us.
Plans also include real human time for the small changes that otherwise never get done: new prices, new staff photos, updated opening hours, a seasonal banner.
What every plan includes
- Managed hosting with an SSL certificate, renewed automatically
- Automatic backups, tested so they can genuinely be restored
- Security patching and monitoring
- Uptime checks with alerts to us, not to you
- Small content changes each month
- A person who answers when you email
The plans
Basic is £30 a month and suits a simple brochure site. Business at £75 adds more change time and faster response. Growth at £150 suits shops and sites with regular updates. Enterprise Support at £300 covers business-critical systems with priority response.
If you leave
You can take the site with you. We will hand over the files, the database and the domain. No exit fee, no hostage-taking.
What actually goes wrong with websites
Sites rarely fail dramatically. They degrade, and nobody notices until a customer mentions it. These are the things we are watching for.
- An expired SSL certificate, the browser shows a full-page security warning and enquiries stop that day
- A lapsed domain renewal, which is the one genuinely hard problem to undo
- A contact form that silently stopped delivering after a mail or DNS change, sometimes months earlier
- Plugin or dependency updates that break a layout, or that were never applied and became the way in for an attacker
- A hosting account suspended over a card that expired
- Images and pages added over time until the site loads slowly enough to lose visitors
Most of these are trivial to prevent and expensive to discover late. The form one is worth singling out: we test that submissions actually arrive rather than assuming a success message means delivery.
A backup only counts if it restores
Plenty of hosts advertise backups. Far fewer have ever tried restoring one, and a backup that has never been restored is a hope rather than a plan. We keep versions going back far enough to survive a problem that is only noticed weeks later, hold a copy separate from the server itself so a compromised machine cannot take the backups with it, and periodically restore one to check it genuinely works.
What response actually means
Support promises are worth little without numbers attached. If the site is down or a form has stopped delivering, we treat it as urgent and work on it until it is fixed, our monitoring usually means we have started before you email. Ordinary content changes are handled within a couple of working days on Basic and Business, faster on Growth, with priority handling on Enterprise. We are a small team in the UK, so you get a person who already knows your site rather than a ticket queue.
Common questions
Do I have to be on a plan?
No. You can host the site yourself or elsewhere and call us when you need something. The plan exists because most business owners would rather it was simply somebody else's job.
What counts as a small change?
Text edits, swapping images, updating prices, adding a page, changing opening hours, the things that take us minutes and would take you an afternoon. Larger pieces of work are quoted separately and we will always tell you before doing so.
What happens if the site is hacked?
We restore from a clean backup, close the route in, and tell you plainly what happened. That is covered by the plan, it is not billed as an emergency.
Will you look after a site somebody else built?
Usually, yes. We review it first, hosting, code quality, how out of date the dependencies are, and either take it on at the normal rate, quote for the tidying it needs first, or tell you it is genuinely cheaper to rebuild. That review is free and you get the answer either way.
What is not included?
New pages beyond the small changes, redesigns, new features and integrations are quoted separately, and we always tell you before doing work that is chargeable. Third-party costs, your domain, paid plugin licences, AI provider usage, are passed through at cost rather than marked up.
Who holds the domain?
You do, registered in your name. We will manage the renewal so it cannot lapse, but the ownership stays with you. A supplier holding your domain in their own name is one of the few things in this industry that can genuinely hold a business hostage.
